Robotic Pick & Place

RBE 3001 · Unified Robotics I · January – March 2022

Built a 3-DOF manipulator system interfacing vision detection with kinematics to perform dynamic pick-and-place tasks.

Through image processing, the system detects and locates objects of a specific color. Using forward and inverse position and velocity kinematics, we developed a program to command the arm to pick and place colored spheres until none remained in the workspace.

The system could also sort a specific non-spherical random object and dynamically track a moving object.
